“IT” Pring Ranch head sire FIREWATER FRED JONES. Solid foundation on both sides of his pedigree.  On his sires side goes to FLIT daughter of LEO, one of the world’s greatest producing mares.  Flit had seventeen registered foals ten by Sugar Bars. FLIT BAR, Bar Flit, FLIT FLITE (only mare produced by the Sugar Bars – Flit cross) – TM Jones owner of Flit Flite crossed her to his Leading Sire PA JONES Son of JET DECK  and SUGREE BARS (Sister of Sugar Bars) Fifth mare to be A.Q.H.A supreme champion. Flit Flite produced Little Fred Jones. Little Fred Jones excelled at barrel racing for me. Setting numerous arena records and winning the Mountain State Circuit Championship in 1983. We bought Little Fred from TM’s Brother in law Fred McGee as a four year old. Fred would out run everything at the start but would wait for the others that take off again. Needless to say it was very frustrating for TM as he new he had a winner but couldn’t get him to finish strong.  TM always said there was something Little Fred could do.  We found that something was running barrels.  I put him on barrels and his first race after four weeks of training he set and arena record.  Unfortunately I missed the entry for Denver because I wasn’t sure he would be ready with only four weeks training.  I should have known better as he was used to the race track crowds. I won the Mountain States Circuit in 1983.  Going to only 8 WPRA rodeo's with a month left I was only $4,000.00 out of making the finals his first year Jack and I decided to not try and make the finals that year because he was just 5. Little Fred about cut off both front feet and suffered more injuries making it impassable to get a full year of racing after that.  Flits other foals by Sugar Bars –  Sugar Leo, Full Speed, Flit Fly, Capable, Sugar Bar Flit, Mr. Go Leo Bar, Old Flit’s Colt. Flit produced Racing, Cutting, Halter, Calf and Team Roping, Reining and Barrel horses thru her sons and daughters.  When Jack and I wanted to get a horse close to Little Fred Jones as we could we crossed TOYUA PA daughter of PA JONES herself a winning barrel horse and dam of  NFR Roping and Barrel horses to Firewater Flit.  Fire Water Flit was a first cousin to Little Fred. Fire Water Flit a son of Flit Bar, Little Fred Jones a son of Flit Flight full sister of Flit Bar.  Fred’s dam Toyua Pa daughter of Pa Jones maternal daughter of Leading performance sire Jet Deck. Her Dam was SUGAR NOTE producer of Leading Racing, Roping, Cutting, NFR & Futurity Barrel horse champions. Giving FIREWATER FRED JONES the LEO, SUGAR BARS, JET DECK,  foundation Bud Warren built his great quarter horses on.  TM Jones Stallion manager for Bud Warren quoted to Jack and I many times that Bud felt the Leo mares crossed back on Sugar Bars was the best cross for Racing and Performance horses.  Fred has the foundation genetics. His foals are proving to be easy to train. Well minded and very athletic. He as the beautiful palomino color producing palomino, buckskins, bay’s, cremello’s, chestnuts.  His racing career has been limited due to my breaking my ribs then getting sick.  He has won over $3,000.00 at the “IT” races in the 1D.
